Snow Day Extravaganza!

We basically went sledding the whole day. Starting out at Dupage River Park was cool, just a nice small hill to get in the mood. Plus we had a 15 minute snowball fight before we even went down. We ran around the parking lot like little kids on crack! So then from Dupage we wanted to go downtown to Rotary... Problem was, we couldn't fit everyone in my amazingly awesome 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST. It's small as heck and only two people fit in the back. We had to fit five people, and fit all the sleds in. That was trouble, but we found a way to manage.

Rotary was killer, but the best was after Rotary. Me John and our friend Nico dropped off the girls and went to another hill. I don't even know it's name, that's how cool it was. It's near this one elementary school, maybe starting with an L? Down past Wendy's and Bobacks and Blockbuster... well, yeah, so it rocked.

This hill was way steeper then Rotary and way less crowded. Plus it had a huge jump, probably more then a 3 foot drop... Plus, it was all iced over, and there were icy rocks at the bottom. How much better can it get? If one were to go down it, they pretty much were required to jump off whatever type of snow-thing they were using, unless they wanted to die or be seriously injured.

I went off it twice, it was a blast! John didn't go off the ramp, but he did manage to accidently hit some poor kid with his sled when I told him to throw it up to me at the top (I meant to say slide it, but I figured John, being the smart kid he his, could figure that out :) ...) He barely skimmed the kid in the head, and he was okay, and we both felt really bad, but it was pretty much halarious too...

Yeah, so during the span of time while we were there three people ended up getting pretty hurt off that huge ramp. One girl had the breath knocked outta her, one just was lying there for a while (another girl) and the last person (not sure what sex) as we were leaving seemed to be really hurt because a bunch of people were crowding around the injured sledder. Three injuries + Matt jumping off it twice + John hitting someone in the head (so I guess four injuries) = The Best Sledding Hill Ever. And we only stayed for 15 minutes or so because Nico had to be home soon, it was pretty late... We're definitely going again sometime. I can't wait!
